I never go around to doing a post about Veselay as the wifi connections have been very poor a lot of the time, so I thought I’d just attach some photos as it is such a beautiful place.

Oh my goodness…the last three posts are happy memories…Chitry, going up the locks to Baye, after we left you waiting for spare parts! And Vezelay…where I literally bumped into one of Australia’s best known chefs! All fabulous times, and now looking forward to time on Bernadette with Henk and Bern. Happy sailing Jen, and Adrien…be good to meet but maybe we will not manage to cross paths. XxxAnne

Hey Jenny and Adrian,
Nice to read your stories on the blog.
Unfortunately we had to change our plans. And turned around going up north again. Right now we are in la Roche de Glun about 80 km above Lyon. The reason for turning around, is that the health of my mother is not as stable as last year. It’s going up and down, with several incidents. There is no need for a rush right now, but it’s better for our feelings to come closer direction home. So we are slowly coming upstreams, but it’s possible that we will not meet each other.
Looking to the planning this moment, slowly going up means that we’ll be in St. Jean in two weeks from now. When circumstances at home are changing we’re speeding up and maybe we have to leave the boat in a port or we proceed the trip.
Right now the situation looks stable, but you never know what happens and can change in a day or less.
When are you back to the UK and back in France?
Regards Andries, Corry and Ashley.
